Bill Grant began designing houses in 1984, primarily in the metropolitan Atlanta area. In 1988, after winning the Atlanta Street of Dreams competition at the St. Ives Country Club, with a “Southern Traditional” design, Bill quickly gained exposure beyond the southeast. To date Bill has designed houses for clients from as far west as California to as far east as the coast of South Carolina, with numerous designs in between. |

Bill’s designs have been featured in many publications including the “Street Of Dreams”, “American Dream Homes”, “Better Homes and Gardens Special Interest Publications-HOME PLAN IDEAS”, and most recently the cover of “THE BEST OF Better Homes and Gardens-HOME PLANS” September/October 2002 issue. Though many of his designs are reminiscent of the charmed style of Traditional architecture, other of Bill’s designs include quaint characteristics most often found in “English Country” homes. Bill’s portfolio also includes farmhouse, cottage, rustic, coastal & craftsman styles.
Bill, having a family of his own, knows the value of space management. His floor plans incorporate accessible traffic patterns with an emphasis on bright, open spaces, fulfilling his client's need for beauty & function. At Bill Grant Designer our goal is to design homes that people will love to come home to.
Bill resides in Brevard, North Carolina, in the Southern Appalachian Mountains, with his wife and three children. He believes with creative building design and proper site conservation the natural beauty of the Appalachian Mountains can be preserved. If you are making plans to build a new home, whether it be a vacation retreat or a larger permanent residence, consider how a custom designed house can enhance the value & aesthetics of your property.
